Visual Literacies etc.

  1. MATH: Which one does not belong? Please check out this great website "Would you Rather" for brainstorming. This could be used not only in mathematics classes but in language classes, too.

  2. LANGUAGE ARTS: "What's going on in this picture?" - The New York Times has this amazing segment in which you get to critically and creatively analyze the backstories of pictures.

  3. We could build on the lessons from "What's going on in this picture?" and use something like Banksy's graffiti to explore the possibilities to expand out multimodal literacy skills.
